Sayyid Abdul Jabbar Shah
Sayyid Abdul Jabbar Shah was chosen as ruler of Swat by the Yusufzai tribes of the valley in 1915, in an attempt to unite them under a single authority. A descendant of the 17th-century saint Pir Baba, he struggled to keep the support of the tribal leaders and was removed in 1917, when the jirga chose Miangul Abdul Wadud, grandson of the Akhund of Swat, in his place.
