Sedrata
Sedrata is a ruined medieval town in the Sahara near Ouargla, Algeria. It was founded by Ibadi refugees after the fall of the Rustamid imamate of Tahert in 909 and flourished on trans-Saharan trade, leaving remains of finely carved stucco decoration. It was abandoned in the 11th century, and its people moved to the Mzab valley.
