Seleucid era
The Seleucid era was a system of dating years from the recovery of Babylon by Seleucus I Nicator in 312/311 BCE. According to the Seleucid Empire profile, Seleucus adopted this event as the foundation date of his empire. The era remained in use across the Near East for many centuries after the dynasty itself had disappeared.
