Shivaskandavarman
Shivaskandavarman was one of the earliest known kings of the Pallava dynasty, ruling in the fourth century CE from Kanchipuram. His copper-plate charters in Prakrit, such as the Mayidavolu and Hirahadagalli grants, record gifts of land in the Andhra country and the Bellary region and claim that he performed great Vedic sacrifices, including the horse sacrifice.
