Sinocentrism

Also known as Sinocentric

Sinocentrism is the view that China is the cultural and political centre of the world, with other peoples ranked by their relationship to the Chinese emperor. It underpinned China's tributary system. Accounts of the Xiongnu Empire discuss how Chinese sources framed relations with the steppe through this lens.
