Stefan Uroš V

1336–1371 · 14th century · Also known as Uroš the Weak

Stefan Uroš V was the second and last emperor of the Serbian Empire, ruling from 1355 to 1371 after his father Stefan Dušan. During his reign the great nobles became practically independent, and Vukašin Mrnjavčević was crowned king and co-ruler in 1365. He died childless in 1371, soon after the Ottoman victory at the Maritsa, ending the Nemanjić line.
