Tadukhipa

fl. 14th century BCE · 14th century BCE

Tadukhipa was a Mitanni princess, daughter of King Tushratta, who was sent to Egypt with a rich dowry to marry the ageing Pharaoh Amenhotep III near the end of his reign. Her marriage and dowry are recorded in the Amarna letters. After Amenhotep's death she probably joined the household of his son Akhenaten, and some scholars have identified her with his wife Kiya.
