Tauber
The Tauber is a river in southern Germany, about 130 km long, that rises in the Frankenhöhe hills and flows north past Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bad Mergentheim and Tauberbischofsheim to join the Main at Wertheim. Its valley, known for vineyards, castles and well-preserved medieval towns, was divided among many small territories of the Holy Roman Empire.
