Tehuelche
The Tehuelche are indigenous peoples of Patagonia in southern Argentina and Chile, traditionally hunters of guanaco and rhea who adopted the horse in the eighteenth century. Their lands were overrun by the Argentine army during the Conquest of the Desert in the 1870s and 1880s, which killed and displaced many of them.
