Tell Afis
Tell Afis is an archaeological site in north-western Syria, south-west of Aleppo, identified with ancient Hazrek (Hatarikka), capital of the Aramean kingdom of Luash. An Aramaic stele found there records how Zakkur, king of Hamath and Luash, withstood a siege of Hazrek by a coalition led by Bar-Hadad of Damascus around 800 BCE.
