Tell al-Rimah
Tell al-Rimah is an archaeological mound in northern Iraq, west of Mosul, usually identified with ancient Karana or Qattara. Excavated by David Oates between 1964 and 1971, it revealed a temple and palace of the early second millennium BCE with an archive of letters of Queen Iltani, and later Middle Assyrian levels. A stela of the Assyrian king Adad-nirari III was also found there.
