Tell el-Farkha

Tell el-Farkha is an archaeological site in the eastern Nile Delta of Egypt, excavated by a Polish expedition since 1998. Occupied from the Buto-Maadi period in the 4th millennium BCE into the Old Kingdom, it has yielded early breweries, an administrative-cultic centre and gold-covered figurines. It shows the spread of Upper Egyptian Naqada culture into the Delta before unification.
