Three Qins

206–205 BCE · 3rd century BCE

The Three Qins were the kingdoms of Yong, Sai and Di created by Xiang Yu in 206 BCE in Guanzhong, the old heartland of Qin, for the surrendered Qin generals Zhang Han, Sima Xin and Dong Yi. Intended to block Liu Bang in Hanzhong, they were conquered by him within months, opening the Chu–Han contention.
