Guanzhong
Guanzhong is the Wei River valley in Shaanxi province, China, a fertile basin enclosed by mountains and guarded passes. Its strategic strength made it the base of the Qin state and the seat of the capitals of Western Han, Sui and Tang at Chang'an, modern Xi'an. In 206 BCE Xiang Yu divided it among three former Qin generals, the 'Three Qins'.
