Person
Tom Blount
Tom Blount (died 1739) was a chief of the northern Tuscarora towns in North Carolina in the early 18th century. Unlike Hancock's southern towns, his people stayed out of the Tuscarora War of 1711–1715 and made a separate peace with the colony, which recognised him as leader of the Tuscarora who remained. A reservation was later set aside for them on the Roanoke River.
