Tsemes Bay
Tsemes Bay is an inlet of the Black Sea on the coast of Krasnodar Krai in southern Russia, on which the port city of Novorossiysk stands. In the early 19th century its shores belonged to the Natukhaj Circassians, and the Ottomans held the fortress of Sudjuk-Kale there. Russia founded Novorossiysk on the bay in 1838, and it became one of the country's main Black Sea ports.
