Tsering Dondub
Tsering Dondub was a Dzungar commander under Tsewang Rabtan. In 1717 he led an army across the Tibetan plateau, killed the Khoshut ruler Lha-bzang Khan and sacked Lhasa, and in 1718 his forces destroyed a Qing relief army near the Salween River. A second Qing expedition drove the Dzungars from Tibet in 1720, beginning Qing supervision of Tibet. His grandson Dawachi became the last Dzungar khan.
