fl. 1640s · 17th century

Tsouharissen was the principal war chief of the Neutral Confederacy in present-day southern Ontario in the 1640s, known from the Jesuit Relations. He led large campaigns against Algonquian peoples to the west, including the Mascouten, and the missionaries described him as the most powerful leader of the Neutrals. The Neutrals were dispersed by the Iroquois soon after, around 1650–1651.
