Tuban
Tuban is a town on the north coast of East Java, Indonesia, and one of the oldest ports of Java. Chinese and Javanese sources record it as a major harbour in the Majapahit period, trading with China and the spice islands, and it later became a Muslim coastal state. Sultan Agung of Mataram conquered it in 1619, and its trade declined thereafter.
