Tubba'
Tubba' was the name by which Arab and Islamic tradition remembered the kings of Himyar in ancient Yemen. The Qur'an mentions the people of Tubba' as a people destroyed for their sins, and later legend made the Tubba' kings great conquerors who campaigned as far as Persia and Central Asia. Many Arab tribes traced their descent through Himyar to Qahtan.
