Tumshuqese language

Also known as Tumshuqese

Tumshuqese is an extinct Eastern Iranian language of the Saka group, known from documents of about the 7th to 10th centuries found at Tumshuq on the northern edge of the Tarim Basin, in Xinjiang. It was written in a form of the Brahmi script and is closely related to Khotanese, the other Saka language of the region. Both disappeared as Turkic speech and Islam spread.
