Tunanmarca
Tunanmarca was a walled hilltop town of the Xauxa people above the Yanamarca valley, near the Mantaro valley in central Peru. Built in the 14th century, during a period of endemic warfare before the Inca conquest, it held thousands of circular stone houses grouped in compounds. Its ruins are among the best-studied pre-Inca settlements of the central Andes.
