Tundzha
The Tundzha, ancient Tonzos, is a river of about 390 kilometres in south-eastern Bulgaria and European Turkey. Rising in the Balkan Mountains, it flows east through the Kazanlak Valley, then south past Yambol to join the Maritsa at Edirne. Its valley was a heartland of the Odrysian Kingdom, with Seuthopolis, Cabyle and the royal tombs of the Valley of the Thracian Kings.
