Teres I
Teres I was the founder of the Odrysian kingdom of Thrace in the 5th century BCE. After the Persian withdrawal from Europe following 479 BCE he united Thracian tribes of the Hebrus valley under Odrysian rule, and Thucydides names him as the first to make the kingdom great. His son Sitalces extended Odrysian power from the Aegean to the Danube.
