Tutuila
Tutuila is the largest and most populous island of American Samoa, in the South Pacific. Its deep harbour of Pago Pago attracted the United States, which secured rights to a naval coaling station there by treaty in 1878 and received the island by deed of cession from local chiefs in 1900. It holds the territory's seat of government and most of its population.
