Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory

Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory is a Mohawk reserve on the Bay of Quinte in south-eastern Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1784 by Mohawks loyal to Britain who had lost their homes in the Mohawk valley of New York during the American Revolution, led by John Deseronto. Together with the larger Six Nations of the Grand River, it was one of the two main Mohawk settlements in Canada after the war.
