Uí Chonaill Gabra
The Uí Chonaill Gabra were a branch of the Uí Fidgenti of early medieval Munster, holding territory in western County Limerick, where the barony of Connello preserves their name. Their kings, later known by the surname Ó Coileáin (Collins), lost their lands to Anglo-Norman settlers, especially the FitzGeralds, in the late 12th and 13th centuries and moved into west Cork.
