Valentinian II
Valentinian II (371–392) was western Roman emperor from 375, proclaimed at the age of four after the death of his father Valentinian I. Dominated by his mother Justina, then by Theodosius I and finally by the Frankish general Arbogast, he never ruled independently. He was found hanged at Vienne in 392, and Arbogast raised Eugenius to the throne in his place.
