Vitcos
Vitcos is an Inca archaeological site in the Vilcabamba region of Cusco, Peru. Manco Inca made it a residence after withdrawing from Cusco in 1537, and he was killed there in 1544 by Spanish refugees he had sheltered. Nearby lies the great carved sacred rock of Yurak Rumi, also called Chuquipalta. Hiram Bingham identified the site in 1911.
