Viti Levu
Viti Levu is the largest island of Fiji, covering about 10,400 square kilometres and holding most of the country's population. The capital, Suva, lies on its south-east coast and the main international airport at Nadi in the west. Off its eastern shore lies the islet of Bau, from which the chiefs of Bau dominated much of Fiji in the 19th century.
