Wailuku
Wailuku is a town on the island of Maui, Hawaii, at the mouth of ʻĪao Valley, and the seat of Maui County. It was a principal royal seat of Maui's chiefs, and the valley above it was the scene of Kamehameha I's victory over Maui's forces in 1790. In the 19th century it grew as a centre of sugar plantations.
