Wuhan

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province in central China, at the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers. It was formed by the union of the cities of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, where the Wuchang Uprising of 1911 began the Xinhai Revolution. It served as the temporary seat of the Nationalist government in 1937–1938, and COVID-19 was first identified there at the end of 2019.
