Wuchang
Wuchang is a historic city on the Yangtze River in central China, now part of the city of Wuhan. On 10 October 1911 a military mutiny there triggered the Xinhai Revolution. Accounts of the Qing Empire describe how the uprising spread rapidly as provincial assemblies declared independence, leading to the abdication of the last emperor, Puyi, in 1912.
