r. c. 1800 BCE · 19th century BCE

Yahdun-Lim was an Amorite king of Mari around 1800 BCE. He subdued the pastoral tribes of the middle Euphrates, founded fortresses and led an expedition to the Mediterranean, where, according to his foundation inscription, he washed his weapons in the sea.
