Yarkent Khanate
The Yarkent Khanate was a successor state of the eastern Chagatai realm, centred on the oasis city of Yarkand in the western Tarim Basin. The eastern khanate split around 1462 into the Yarkent and Turpan khanates. Chagatayid rulers continued to govern from Yarkand for generations, preserving the dynastic line in the region.
