Yijing
Yijing was a Chinese Buddhist monk who travelled by sea to India in the late seventh century, staying in Srivijaya on his journeys and visiting it in 671 CE. He studied Sanskrit there and described the kingdom as a major centre of Buddhist learning. His accounts are an important source for the early history of the Srivijaya Empire and its governance.
