Yolande, Duchess of Lorraine

1428–1483 · 15th century · Also known as Yolande of Anjou

Yolande of Anjou was a daughter of René of Anjou who inherited the Duchy of Lorraine in 1473. Her marriage to Ferry II of Vaudémont, son of René's old rival Antoine, reconciled the two branches of the house of Lorraine, and their son René II united Vaudémont with the duchy. She left the government of Lorraine to her son.
