Zeerust
Zeerust is a town in the Marico district of South Africa's North West province, near the border with Botswana. It was founded in 1867 by settlers of the South African Republic on the farm of Casper Coetzee. The area was the old homeland of the Bahurutshe, and in 1957 and 1958 it saw a revolt by Hurutshe communities against the extension of apartheid pass laws to women.
