Bahurutshe
The Bahurutshe are a Tswana people regarded in tradition as the senior line from which the Bakwena and other Tswana groups branched. By the 16th century they lived in the Marico area of the western highveld, where their stone-walled capital Kaditshwene was one of the largest towns in southern Africa in 1820. Scattered in the wars of the 1820s, they regrouped and today live around Zeerust in South Africa and in Botswana.
