Zhengguo Canal
The Zhengguo Canal was an irrigation canal in the State of Qin, begun in 246 BCE and named after its designer, Zheng Guo, an engineer from the State of Han. According to the Shiji, Han sent him to exhaust Qin's resources with a huge project, but the canal, linking the Jing and Luo rivers, irrigated the plain north of the Wei and greatly increased Qin's harvests.
