Zhuanxu

Zhuanxu is a legendary ruler of ancient China, counted among the Five Emperors and said to be a grandson of the Yellow Emperor. Several ruling houses of the Zhou period, including those of Chu, Qin and Zhu, claimed descent from him. Tradition credits him with separating heaven and earth and with reforms of religion and the calendar.
