Abonnema
Abonnema is a town in Rivers State in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. It was founded in the early 1880s by Kalabari people who left their old capital, Elem Kalabari, after a civil war and rivalry with the Bonny Kingdom. It became a trading centre for palm oil and is one of the main Kalabari towns.
