Abu Amr Uthman
Abu Amr Uthman was the Hafsid sultan of Ifriqiya from 1435 to 1488, one of the longest reigns of the dynasty. He continued the restoration begun by his grandfather Abu Faris Abd al-Aziz II, keeping the Arab tribes in check and holding Tunis, Constantine and Béjaïa together. After his death the sultanate declined rapidly under weak successors.
