Alushta
Alushta is a resort town on the southern coast of the Crimean peninsula, on the Black Sea between Yalta and Sudak. It grew around the Byzantine fortress of Aluston, built under Justinian I in the 6th century, and later belonged to the Genoese and the Ottomans before the Russian annexation of Crimea in 1783. Today it is one of Crimea's main seaside resorts.
