Anazarbus
Anazarbus was an ancient city of Cilicia in southern Turkey, near the Ceyhan river. Favoured by the Romans, it became the metropolis of the province of Cilicia Secunda, and in the 12th century it served as an early capital of the Rubenid Armenian lords. Its ruins, with a triumphal arch and a hilltop castle, lie beside the village of Dilekkaya.
