Anscarids

9th–14th century · 9th century · Also known as House of Ivrea

The Anscarids were a dynasty descended from Anscar I, margrave of Ivrea in north-western Italy in the late 9th century. Its Italian line produced Berengar II and Adalbert, kings of Italy in the 950s, while a Burgundian branch became counts of Burgundy. Through Raymond of Burgundy another branch ruled León and Castile as the House of Ivrea from 1126 to 1369.
