Anum-muttabbil

r. c. 2000 BCE · 21st century BCE

Anum-muttabbil was a ruler of the Mesopotamian city of Der, east of the Tigris, around the start of the 2nd millennium BCE. In an inscription he claimed to have struck down the heads of Anshan, Elam and Shimashki, a boast that shows Der acting as an independent power on the Elamite frontier after the fall of the Third Dynasty of Ur.
