Anzac Day
Anzac Day, 25 April, is the national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, marking the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli in 1915. First observed in 1916, it now commemorates all who served and died in military operations, with dawn services, marches and ceremonies in both countries.
