Arlon

Arlon is a town in south-eastern Belgium, the capital of the province of Luxembourg, close to the border with the Grand Duchy. It grew from the Roman settlement of Orolaunum on the road from Reims to Trier. In the Middle Ages it was the seat of counts whose house founded the County of Limburg, and the lordship of Arlon later passed to Luxembourg.
