Reims
Reims is a city in Champagne, north-eastern France, the Durocortorum of the Remi and later capital of the Roman province of Belgica. Clovis was baptised there by Bishop Remigius around 500, and most French kings were crowned in its cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece and World Heritage Site. On 7 May 1945 Germany signed its surrender there.
